Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (Nexi) has backed the build of a new polypropylene plant in Texas, after agreeing to provide insurance for a loan to Brazilian petrochemical firm Braskem. California’s rush to detect new cases of COVID-19 has been slowed by shortages of a key chemical needed to conduct the diagnostic tests, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Thursday.
