Growth in Europe is also markedly weaker, and although the US has held up for now – it is starting to show signs of succumbing to the wider trend. Joe Chang, a global editor, gives an outlook on what is expected to be a synchronized global economic growth slowdown in 2019 – a reversal of the upswing seen in 2017 and 2018.
