North American Plastics Industry Study 2018

In 2017, we highlighted that NAFTA negotiations, a strong dollar, and continuing interest rate increases required attention by business leaders. Despite this, North American plastics processors demonstrated overall strong operating results bolstered by several factors, including increased worker productivity and effective management of labor costs. This year, we are concerned that the industry is seeing a flattening of sales growth, asset utilization, and productivity.
