REACH AND THE CHEMICALS REGIME IN THE UK AFTER BREXIT

With only eight months to go until the UK is likely to leave the EU, the call for certainty on the future of chemicals regulation in the UK is being made loudly by the chemicals sector, in particular in relation to the EU REACH regime. With notoriously complex supply chains, and deep branches into all other areas of manufacturing, contingency planning for this sector is made all the more difficult (but all the more necessary) by a lack of clarity on what the UK's long-term position will be.
