THE CHEMISTRY OF FIRE

Fire is an exothermic reaction that happens when fuel undergoes rapid oxidation, releasing heat and light. This is known as combustion. For burning to begin, the fuel must enter a combustible gas phase. To do this, it is heated passed its ﬂash point. It then exerts enough vapor to ignite When vapor reaches ignition point, compound molecules break & atoms recombine with oxygen.
