Milliken & Company Acquires Ohio Chemicals and Coating Maker

Chemical and materials manufacturer Milliken & Company recently announced it had officially closed on its acquisition of specialty chemicals maker Borchers Group from former parent The Jordan Company.
South Carolina-based Milliken, which also makes specialty fabrics, flooring, and medical products, said Borchers’ coating additives and specialty catalyst solutions would bolster its sustainable coating additives platform. Borchers, a company in the Cleveland area, houses a portfolio of coatings, inks, and adhesives additives, Milliken officials noted, as well as cobalt-free driers, dispersants, rheology modifiers, wetting agents, polymerization catalysts, and adhesion promoters.
