FDA warns of hand sanitizers that contain toxic chemical

The FDA is warning against certain brands of hand sanitizers that were manufactured by a company out of Mexico. The release says consumers should not use hand sanitizers manufactured by Eskbiochem SA de CV due to the potential of methanol being in the product. Methanol can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or if it is ingested. The following products were included in the FDA warning: Those that have been exposed to hand sanitizers that contain methanol should seek medical treatment. The FDA says it is critical for the potential reversal of the toxic elements of methanol poisoning.
