Canada makes checks on consumer chemicals, surface coating materials
Chemical Watch | March 19, 2019
"A Health Canada inspection has found that some products containing consumer chemicals are not in compliance with the country’s Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulation (CCCR). But all surface coating materials on children’s products it tested were found to be compliant with the Surface Coating Materials Regulations (SCMR). Canada’s Consumer Product Programme (CPSP) enforces the Consumer Product Safety Act, which includes both the CCCR and the SCMR. Its work includes verifying industry compliance with those regulations."
