CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES

Marvin JS, produced by ChemAxon, is a state-of-the-art chemical editor that combines the chemical knowledge of MarvinSketch with the JavaScript-based browser technology. Based on the feedback from our users we have updated MarvinJS to enable easier and faster generation of structure queries.

Jointly organised by STEM Alliance and Scientix, the chat was held online on Thursday, 28 March 2019 from 10:00 to 11:30, Brussels time. The chat took place in English. During this session, pupils had the opportunity to ask questions on careers in the petrochemical industry to the experts. The STEM Alliance chat sessions address classes (pupils from secondary schools) that are led by one or more teachers and aim at promoting awareness of all aspects of STEM careers. Since these chats bring together key STEM professionals and classes from different European countries, they may enhance a lesson focusing on a significant subject. During one and a half hour, pupils, led by one or more teachers, had the opportunity to ask topic-related questions to the experts:

In this webinar, we will explore best practice approaches for seamless handover at critical junctures en route to commercial manufacturing of small molecule drugs. One of the biggest challenges in today's small molecule drug development are the different requirements on quality and supply chain going from exploratory research to commercial manufacturing. A key risk to consider is the over- and/or underengineering of chemical specialties for drug synthesis leading to higher total cost of ownership.
