Dow signs up to chemical recycling

Chemical giant Dow has struck a deal with the Fuenix Ecogy Group for the supply of pyrolysis oil feedstock, made from recycled plastic waste. The feedstock will be used to produce new polymers at Dow’s production facilities at Terneuzen, The Netherlands. Dow says the polymers produced from the pyrolysis oil will be identical to products made from traditional feedstocks and can be used in similar applications, including food packaging. The agreement helps to deliver Dow’s ‘circular economy’ strategy of integrating recycled content and renewable feedstocks into its production processes.
