New Regulations For Chemical Substances Use In Taiwan

Taiwan is well-known for the use of chemicals in different products and substances. The use of chemicals has long been permitted in many different countries. However, different countries press rules against different type of chemicals in accordance to the harmful effects it causes through the community. With Taiwan having minimum regulations on the chemicals, many different negative effects were conceded in the few past years. Thus, Taiwan has announced the release of new regulations addressing the use of chemical substances. The new regulations were released by the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration in their document called the Amended Regulation of New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration. The new regulations have more strict rules against the high risk substances, which has stopped the use of almost 160 substances. Many amendments were stated in the new regulations. However, only the most important and effective forms will be included.
