Global Chemicals Outlook II: key findings

"Key findings of a UN report, on the global state of play of chemicals, set out potential issues associated with their expected growth in production and consumption, as well as solutions to address them. The summary report was published yesterday at the Unea-4 conference in Nairobi and comes just weeks before the full report - the Global Chemicals Outlook II - is due to be released in April. The ten key findings are: The size of the global chemical industry exceeded $5 trillion in 2017. It is projected to double by 2030. Consumption and production are rapidly increasing in emerging economies. Global supply chains, and the trade of chemicals and products, are becoming increasingly complex."
