SAFETY OFFICE CHEMICAL HYGIENE PLAN

The Chemical Hygiene Plan is intended to highlight general university wide laboratory practices that are obligatory for protecting employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals. This plan addresses all provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Laboratory Standard (29 CFR 1910.1450), and is implemented by the Office of Safety and Risk Management. Each department that uses any type of hazardous material is required to have a copy of this manual readily available to personnel in the laboratory
