Cleaning chemicals should not be mixed together as this can cause harmful fumes or other chemical reactions. It is a common misconception that if one cleaning product works then mixing it with another will make it even better, but this is not the case. For example, mixing bleach and alcohol together creates chloroform – a gas which can be toxic. Even if the mixture of chemicals isn’t toxic, you can never be certain what effect two combined chemicals can have.
